The bushland provides a unique example of a frost hollow and a transition from the grassland of the frost hollow through a grassy woodland, up the slope to a dry sclerophyll forest.

The changes brought about by changing altitude, soil and aspect provide a challege to identify many of the species found in the area.

Different communities exist, they have associations between species which are uniform while conditions remain constant but change as the slope changes.

This web site contains information that will make your walks in the bush more enjoyable as you seek out the different communities and the species within them.

Some of the parts of this web site are:

Examples of the rough bark eucalypts
